Wednesday, Feb 6th

Is the day / date OK?  I usually do the blog late in the day, so must have been half asleep yesterday.  LOL
  The day was chilly, we had a nasty wind blowing pretty much all day.  The high temp today was about 55F, so approx. 11 or 12 C.  I went to play golf with the group from the park.  We had a good turnout and the skies down in Queen Creek were clear, so it was nicer in the sun.  Since slowing down my swing, I seem to be getting better results, particularly off the tee.  My score today was one of my better games and I never lost a ball.  In fairness I had a couple of very long putts that were big factors in the outcome.
  Marg went to the Fort with the gamblin' gals today.  They left a bit earlier than usual so had a bit more time in the casino.  Marg had a good day and when she got home was $300 more than when she left.  She said that was after she bought lunch, so I asked how much lunch was.  The answer - $3.  They had lots of fun and apparently Lynett did better than Marg today.
  I forgot to mention yesterday that one of our friends was digging out the rock in front of their place.  It is mainly the white rock and we needed some more at our place.  I packed home a half a dozen pails, so had to level it in our flower garden out front.
  I played pool this afternoon and my game was much better. In fact in the group of 4 was one of the better players in the park.  When I hooked him so I could keep the other team from winning, he made a comment about someone else he played who hooks almost as good as me.  I said I take that as a complement from a player of your caliber.  I did play on more winners than losers, so a good day.
  When Marg go home I was waiting with the golf cart so that she didn't have to walk home.  She got back a bit late for happy today, so we went straight to the hamburger fry today.  It was Gary's burgers and they are always good.  We got there at 4:40 as it doesn't start until 5 and were in a serious line up for burgers.  They were great, as usual.  After the burgers, we stopped at Barb's where Marg got her tickets for the Friday night entertainment.  Tickets are going well and are getting to be hard to get.  In about 15 minutes she sold 15 of the 25 she got from Barb. 
  After I went to play poker.  We had two tables tonight, nice to see the level of interest this year.  I started out very slow but picked up the pace in the later part of the game.  In the end I think I came away a winner, but not by a large amount.
