Monday, April 2nd

Just another hot spring day, we were close to 90 degrees today, but for much of the day we had a nice breeze that really helped moderate the temp.
We started out with some of the monkey bread.  We have some pink grapefruit that friends dropped off, but Marg with her medications can't have it, so I guess it's mine.  I forgot it was there this morning so have not tried it yet, but they told me it was very good.  There is so much of it around at this time of year, people often just give it away.
We went out early to Walmart to get a few things.  I needed two more jack stands to put the golf cart on and Walmart has them for $8 each.  I also got a 5 gallon pail as I needed one more.  These are to leave water in the park model when we are gone.  The lid is drilled full of holes so that it doesn't evaporate too quickly.  This keeps the woodwork in the place from getting too dried out during the high summer temperatures when we are gone.
Then we went to Home Depot where we picked up a couple of 2x3 studs.  These will be useful for stabilizing our fence on the patio.  The first year we never did this and it all blew over, needing lots of repairs to stand it back up.  I will be using them to brace from corner to corner, creating a triangle that will withstand the winds here.
We got back in time for Marg to go to water aerobics.  She had a new noodle she picked up when we were out, but it didn't work out very well.  Then it was lunch back at home.  After lunch I went to play pool and Marg went around the park organizing our day tomorrow.  She had several people to see to get it lined up.  We have a few couples coming over for pizza as it is Kenny & Doris's last day.  They are leaving for home in Kansas on Wednesday morning.
Happy hour tonight was at Pauline & Tom's this afternoon.  They live just across the road.  She is the one who owned our park model when it was first put in the RV Park.  There were lots of folks there and it was a nice visit.  The only bad news was that she took Tom to the emergency after we all left. He has quite a few health issues that he often gets medical help for, so hopefully it is not to serious.
Supper was bbq and after a ten of us went to Doris & Kenny's for pie.  Pies made by Doris are legendary and if invited, you just never pass on an opportunity like this.  I had coconut cream and I think Marg had raisin, both were very good.

  1. Shame tabout hear Kenny & Doria are leaving... I think the snow may have to melt a bit on the prairies before you head North again x
