Saturday, March 31st

The end of March, really, where has the time gone?  Today makes 3 months we have been in Arizona, how time flies when you're having fun.  The weather today was perfect, the temp in the high 80's, not a cloud in the sky.
We started out going to one of Marg's water aerobics buddies for coffee and rolls to celebrate another's [Sheryl] birthday.  Marg made two of her now famous monkey breads.   There was a variety of other goodies: another monkey bread, a bowl of fresh fruit, donuts, all great.  There were a little over a dozen of us, so just a nice gathering.
Then I went over to the hall to get the video sorted for the church service tomorrow morning.  I needed Gary for this and he brought a movie that we played for the big screen TV.  I think it will work on all 3 now, so with any luck we will pull this off tomorrow morning for pastor Don as it is something special he wants to do for the Easter Sunday service.
After, Marg & I went out for a break.  We went up to the antique mall on Ellsworth where we browsed, but never found anything with a price we would be tempted to but at.  They had some great Canadian coins, but all priced right at the top of what I would consider the market.  All of the coins on display had a card saying ;coins and paper money were not negotiable, so I guess they were stuck on the pricing.  There were  a few other household things that Marg fancied, but again not near the asking price.
Then we went up to the Superstition Mall area where we stopped at the old 5 & Diner for lunch.  Funny but we bot picked an omelet from the seniors menu.  Neither of us were very hungry, but we figured we should eat and were glad we did.
After lunch we went over to the retail area where Marg went to Burlington Coat and I picked up a pocket book to read in the truck while I waited.  She did have some success today, so it was a good & productive stop.  On the way back I stopped at Costco to fuel up.  The line ups for gas were long, but the price was pretty good, at least 10 cents a gallon under the best price I saw any place else.  Add to that the rebates and we were talking a savings.  A quick stop at Safeway for a couple of things and back home.
Marg had a visitor who stayed quite a while.  As near as I could tell there were numerous topics dealt with.  Then she wanted to discuss the Closer Connection form we all file with the IRS to avoid having tax problems here.  She stayed long enough that there was no happy hour for us, but it was one of those therapeutic listening sessions.
We went out with the Blanke's for a Chinese buffet.  Our first stop was a the one on Signal Butte, but there was a big line, so we went to the China City on Power road.  The food was very good and there was no line.  We must have hit it just right as it almost seemed the line formed behind our arrival.
After supper we returned to the park where we sat out on the breezeway and had a nice visit.  I think it was after 10 when they left.
