Sunday

What a gorgeous day.  It started out very nice and got positively hot, I think the day max-ed out at around 82F/28C and it took a bit of getting used to.
  There were 3 of us riding this morning and it was perfect weather for biking.  While I was contemplating the distance I would go today, one of the guys turned back at Desert view, so we made about 4 1/2 miles today.  We generally all travel together as stuff can happen out there and as seniors we have to think about that stuff.  You know stuff like who will get the bike off the road, LOL!
  When I got back we had a nice ham & eggs breakfast.  I had a banana and coffee before riding, but that really isn't breakfast and Marg usually will eat after 10 AM or so.  After breakfast we went to Walmart and had some pictures developed.   Marg took lots of pictures last night at the fish fry and wanted to put some pictures in the thank you cards she made for the people who put the event on.  With the price they do these for, you really can't even print them on your own printer for less.  While there we picked up a few other things.  We needed another water bottle as we have been buying it at a bulk type outlet and are trying to reduce our use of bottled water.  With the heat in this area we go through a great deal of water as we try to keep ourselves hydrated as well as using it for things like tea.
  After we got back I washed the truck.  It was dirty from the rains we had in the past week or so.  There was a lot of junk on the floors as well from hauling around the golfers.  Most of the grass comes from Apache Sun, I have never seen clippings in the volumes we get when we play there. 
  Lunch, well be just had some snacks.  We had the taco chips Marg got at the Mexican grocery store and some peach/mango salsa.  It was really good and in fact has a bit of a tangy taste.  That and a few ritz crackers with cheese to tide us over. 
  Happy hour and the group there just before supper.  Marg made a nice pasta dish and we had the last of the broccoli salad from yesterday.  The pretty much filled us up, almost too much as we only had a half hour or so before ice cream social.  When we got to ice cream, they were short of people, so Marg went in the back and helped Anne make banana splits.  So that is what I had, but it pretty much proved to be more than I could handle, so for the first time I had to leave some.  Now that is a heart breaker, LOL!  Marg had ice cream and white cake, pretty normal for her.
