Saturday

A gorgeous day in the Apache Junction.  Went for breakfast this AM and had the usual: bacon, eggs, pancakes and sat with a bunch of friends.  Great way to start the day and then went for a bike ride with the guys.  Made about 7 miles today, so was pretty much at the end of my energy level by the end.  Pretty neat as we saw a road runner today up by Idaho road.  They are quick, so often you just get a quick glimpse of them disappearing, but not this one, we got a good look at it.
When I got back Marg had gone to a park wide sale down the road and then on to a couple of other places.  I did some repairs and put the patio blocks back in place that were moved by the heating contractor - Cool Cactus. Marg got back and we went out to Big Lots where she got a few things and I stopped in at Harbour Freight for the obligatory free gift [a blue tarp] while picking up a set of Allen wrenches to do some bike adjustments.
When we got back Marg did up the laundry, while I pulled out the trailer and put the Rhino in it.  Lots of stuff to jockey around in there as I am now using it like a storage shed, LOL.  While she was steaming the laundry, I did a couple of odd jobs, like installing new door threshold.  Mark down the street had a bunch of yard waste he dug up around his place and I put it in the back of the truck, taking it to the dumpster bins.  Another one of my good neighbour things.
By now it was happy hour, so we went down for our usual hour.  Then it was supper time: brats and home fries.  Really good.

There was an event at the rec hall tonight, but we passed on it as we had to be at the airport to pick up Vanessa & Daniel.  Their plane arrived at 8:40, about 10 minutes early and the luggage was off fairly promptly after we got to the carousel.  The drive to and back from Sky Harbour was great with light traffic and they travelled well but were happy to be here.  We were all pretty happy to see they made it just fine.
