January 8th

A nice morning and we both got up early to go to coffee & donuts.  Had not been in a while, so we thought it would be good to go and catch up on the news in the park.  There was a pretty good turnout and it was a better session with lots of information coming from the floor.  The tenants assoc. president and vice served notice they plan to step down and that new people need to step forward.  The park owner spoke to the group about the status of the bathrooms.  It appears we will be making do with port-a-potties for most of the winter months, thanks to the bureaucracy they call permitting in AJ that one person has forced the park into.
  A couple of park models have sold already and a couple more are coming up for sale.  That is always grist for the rumour mill.  It doesn't take much to become a conversation item and potential sales and changes are always right up there.  The other topic is who will put their names forward for the tenants association positions.  Needless to say none of them will be filled from anyone in site #86.
  Marg did laundry today, then she visited around the park.  That can be very time consuming depending on who is out and about.  She went to happy hour a bit later on.  I believe they were short on guys as we were not back yet.

 

  I went to San Marco golf resort with these 3 guys today.  The course is in Chandler, so about 25 minutes on the 202 freeway from AJ.  Quite a diverse group: Georgia, Wisconsin, Minnesota & a Canuck.  The course just had a $3.5 million investment and was in much nicer condition than last year.  I find the course challenging and as in the past it ate my lunch today.
  Lots of laughs with these guys and the weather was perfect for a round of golf.
  When we finished it was pretty much rush hour traffic, so got to practice my driving skills in bumper to bumper 65 mph traffic.
  Some big news from home with Chelsea delivering a baby girl.  Always a happy occasion.
