Brrrrr
For those of you who have endured my tales of near tropical weather, rejoice. It was cold last night, got down to 26F, so about minus 3C for you Canucks. How cold, well the water line to my rv froze, so we had no water this AM. Even the metal pipe from the ground and the tap were frozen. Luckily I have a magnetic oil pan heater, so I was able to attach it to the pipe, thawing it. I replaced the water line with a spare hose and we were back in business. Neighbour was also frozen, so he borrowed the heater. It was funny, he didn't come right out and ask, rather hinted but jumped at the offer. After several people asked what all I have hidden away in the rv. In fact it was so cold, that the big prickly pear cactus across the way froze & parts broke off. I'm not sure what the parts are called: branches, limbs, thing-a-ma-jigs. Marg & I went to coffee & donuts this AM, but just had coffee. The cold weather here & the storms in the northeast was all the conversation. After we joined Ron & Sue and another couple at IHop. Sue asked if we liked IHop & I told her, for me, that was like a religious experience. She couldn't wait to tell everyone. LOL What did I have - the 2x2x2, pancakes, eggs, bacon and Marg had her fav, the vegetable crepe. The guy was the same guy that played poker with us last night and he is a bit boisterous. He went on and on about how he was short from the poker game chip cash-in. He won about $15, but figured it should have been $16. He also had a coupon for a free stack of pancakes, so that was all he had, no eggs, bacon or anything else. His wife was nice, but with any luck that will be the last we see of him. Hey did I forget to tell you that I won $3 last night. Played pool after lunch, road trip. We went to Silverado and I was teamed with Mike. He's good to play with and we won all 3 games. For supper we ate in; Marg bought a George Foreman grill she wanted to try out & it was excellent.
