Wednesday, Nov 28th

Another chilly morning followed by a very warm day.
I got up early as Gerry was coming to join our golf group today.  Apparently there was lots of traffic on the 202 coming our way, but he managed to get here before 8 and we got to Apache Sun in time to play.  There were only 13 golfers today as lots of folks are still at home, but it will get busier.  The course was heavy with dew, or maybe it had been flooded last night.  My game started out real well, but I struggled in the middle.  It was a one turtle day, so no one went in the water, although my shot hit a branch and I didn't fare well.  On the putt I was on the green in two, but my long putt was wide.  Gerry was on in 3, but drained his one putt and managed to win the money on the hole.  On the other money hole, I hit another branch and instead of falling the right way, I had my ball retriever out to it's maximum length, but I never lost the ball.  We played with Patrick & Diane from Saskatchewan and had a few laughs, so that was nice it being their last day here.  They sold their place and are going to Mazatlán from now on.
Marg went with the gals to the Fort today.  There were only 3 of them, but everyone came away a little better off than they left with.  Marg was the big winner at bingo, winning by herself on a $300 prize.  One of the others won at bingo, but had to split, the other won at the casino.  So they came home in very good spirits today.
We were out of bread and I had to make my own lunch, so made a quick trip to Safeway, then made my own sandwich.  Life can be tough.  In the afternoon I went out to get propane for the bbq as my tank ran out the other day.  I intended to go to the food bank as it is right by where I go for propane.  I donate my crushed aluminum cans, but they were closed, so will have to go another time.  The rest of the afternoon I did some personal stuff.
When Marg got home it was time to go to happy hour.  It was at the other end of the park today and the hosts were from Red Deer.  It was an unusually large group and turned into a bit of a farewell to the Pat & Diane.  They're going to miss us.  LOL  After we came home where Marg made supper, which is always nice on poker night.  Otherwise it can get to be quite rushed.
I went to play poker and Marg had a long facetime with Vanessa. I won one hand and split another in 2 1/2 hours of poker, so you know I was not a winner.  One of Marg's gamblin gals was the big winner.
