Tuesday, Nov 6th

Got up at a good hour this morning and  went out for a bike ride with three other guys in the park.  One of the guys wanted to only do about half the distance, so I kept him company as we try not to leave anyone alone when they are having problems.  It was a gorgeous day for a ride and nice to get going again.
  I went to take Nancy to the FedEx depot so she could return her cable TV equipment, but they said she had to go to a full service FedEx store.  As she had another commitment, Marg & I took it down to the store on Power.  I spent about an hour on the phone with Direct TV to get the return sorted out, which made the FedEx stop very brief.  If the wifi had been working it would have simplified much of this.  She was very appreciative as not having a vehicle it has been challenging to finalize things.
  We returned home for lunch as the cupboards are so full we need to eat in.    After lunch Marg had a meeting of the entertainment committee so I went to play some pool.  There was a small group there, but I played in a group of four.  They were good fellows to play with and we had a few laughs.  Marg's group were setting out plans for the activities this winter.
  After that it was happy hour.  It was a large group today and there were two new couples who just arrived today.  Kenny & Doris were finally here, but only about 20 minutes before, so I brought some extra beer, it was Kokanee that I brought from home and he seemed to enjoy it.  They were late getting here this year while they were waiting for Ford to put a new motor in their coach.
  After happy Marg had them over for dinner as they hadn't picked up any groceries yet.  It was Reuben sandwiches for supper tonight. Nice to see them again.
  It was off to the bingo in the hall tonight.  We never won anything and the crowd was small, but it was nice to see the games start.
