Yuma - Jan 12th

Today was a warm one, it got up to 79 F, with a nice breeze so very warm, but it wasn't too hot. We went to the Mesa del Sol and hit a bucket of balls. My new clubs aren't any straighter, but the balls are a lot harder to find. Marg had a good day as well. We were running out of cash, so went through a couple of options until we hit a bank where Marg was able to recharge our wallets. Thought we were going to have to collect aluminum cans for the deposits there for a while, LOL. It was burger nite at the big hall, so we went and met some nice people. The burgers are a real good deal, so it was my treat, hah. One couple are full time RVers from Florida, they came here for the winter???? The other couple was from really far away, Edmonton, LOL. They have a lot of miles on in their travels & have gone down as far as the Baha in Mexico. There are here with the Florida guys. Marg also bought a ticket to the fashion show & one for me to the boys nite out on Jan 23rd. There are a bunch that play 8 ball here, but for Phil & John's benefit, the rules are very different. Kind of that home turf thing I guess. There are probably more ways to play 8 ball than any other game. The only thing that is common is if you sink the 8 prematurely, you lose. Picked up a few groceries at Frys, they have a lot of stuff we don't see at home. Lots of kinds of: peppers, tortillas, vegetables, beer. Everything is in 2 languages, Spanish & English, it's quite an education. Not all that's different is good, we bought a nice looking banana cream pie at Frys & it was so terrible that we chucked it.

  1. Sounds like you are having a great time, I am concerned about the couple who left Florida for the winter though. Changing the tyre on the cart made me smile, did anyone ask for a spanner?
