Saturday, January 4th

We had a gorgeous day in the valley, not sure how warm it got, but the sun definitely did it's job.
In the morning Marg did a load of laundry as it was such a good day for drying the clothes.  I browned some chicken that Marg had marinated from yesterday.  She likes them that way before putting them in the crock pot to prepare them for the supper dish.  I vacuumed the floors then Marg washed them and did some dusting.
When the clothes were dry Marg steamed them as she likes to put them away as soon as they are done.  Then we took a ride down to the mail, none today and she dropped me off at the pool room.  There were no players, so I went and got a fellow from Iowa to play.  By the time we started others started coming in and eventually there were 2 full tables playing.  In the early afternoon Marg had some visitors and then went to visit with some gals.
Our visitors showed up about the middle of the afternoon.  We got them settled in the Az room and had time for a beer.  At 4 we all went down to the happy hour and it was a full house today, the weather being so nice.  There was a young couple there who are in a truck camper with a 2 year old.  He was a restless little guy, so Marg told the dad it would be OK to take him for a ride on the golf cart.  A bit later the mother did the same.  They seem to be opting out of the rat race and only working when they run out of money.  They named the poor kid Ocean, probably so the other kids in school will steal his lunch money.  LOL  There were lots of intro's for our guests and they seemed to handle it well.
After it was back to our place for supper, a nice dish of pasta and chicken, then a nice cheesecake for dessert.  If you know Marg it would be no surprise that there was too much to eat, so some where along there will be planned-overs.
In the evening we enjoyed a nice single malt that George had brought.  It will be interesting, they are usually early to bed, early to rise.  We are the opposite, late to bed, late to rise.  We seldom have overnight guests here, so stay tuned for a progress report.
