Thursday, March 7th

Another nice day, not quite as hot as yesterday.
Our day started with the koffee klatch.  Another good day as the donuts were free and our table was picked first to go up for them.  Even better Marg was the first person in line, so the choices could never be better.  After the coffee meeting, the Entertainment committee had one to discuss the Mardi Gras parade and party tomorrow.  With this being her first meeting as Director of the committee it was a must attend.
I did some work on the tenants assoc FB site to change some the events that will be ending prior to the dates I had them listed as. I also had to post the poster on the Mardi Gras, so I had to scan it and the new board list as that is pretty much how I put it on there.  I had some issues with changes and postings, so it took a lot longer than usual.
When Marg got back she put a rack of pork ribs in the slow cooker.  She used a dry rub on them first with plans to add the bbq sauce at the end of the cooking.  I didn't realize the meat could be cooked like that, I thought the slow cooker needed liquid in the bowl.  Live and learn.  The ribs cooked for about 4 1/2 hours or so and seem to be done.
In the afternoon Marg did laundry, wanting to clean it up while the weather is good.  Then she went to check up on Rita as she missed the morning meeting.  Apparently had an issue with vertigo so Marg took her some Gravol to see if it helped.  With Rita missing the task of chairing the meeting went to Lynett who did a great job with it.  I played pool with 3 other guys for a couple of hours.  I didn't bring my A game today, but towards the end managed to get it together.  We had lots of laughs in the process.
Happy was at Patti & Gary's so we went today.  They had a  good sized group show up for it.  It's a good set up, they have a large patio and a fruit stand like bar at the entry, so the guys usually congregate around the bar.  There were lots of humorous things so it was one of the better ones.
Marg had made arrangements to go out for Chinese buffet tonight, well that was after the ribs were well along to being cooked.  It was funny because we had just talked about not having a Chinese buffet yet this winter.  We went to the Woochi, it is the one that used to be No ! Eastern Buffet, that most of you have been to, if you have been here.  There were 8 of us, so there was a wait for a table.  While waiting I overheard one local complain about Snowbirds impact on the restaurant.  I am certain the lady operating the cash register didn't share those feelings.  The food was good and plentiful, but of us ate enough to need buffet pants.  LOL
