I think I have this back on track now, posting at the end of the day. It really helps with remembering what happened today, well it is being written by a senior and before you say anything negative think - could my comment be construed as Elder Abuse. LOL
The day was cool, but the rains have stopped. The day warmed as the sun came out but was still jacket weather and although some have gone to short pants, I am still in jeans.
I worked on the bathroom a bit this morning. The trim pieces on the taps in the shower were loose, so I took them off to put some caulking behind them. I'm really not certain if there was water getting behind them, don't think there was so this was preventative maintenance. Then after lunch I did some prep work on the wall above the kitchen counter tops. Last year Marg bought some wallpaper she wants to put on there and I had simply forgot about it. I mixed up some wall sizing and coated the wall with it and then let it sit to dry for tomorrow. I'm not a big fan of wallpaper, but this is a small project, so should be OK. Marg put a couple of loads of laundry through the machine in the breezeway. Having it has really made the task a lot more manageable according to her and because of the nature of the machine she only partially dries in it and then hangs things on her drying racks. This has the added benefit of very fresh smelling garments at the end of the process. She remarked a while back that with her laundry at home, she would hardly believe drying like this would be satisfying to her, but is really is.
After lunch I went to play some pool. Ended up in a 4 person game and the competition was pretty challenging. In fact I think I lost more than won today, but pretty good guys to play with, so it was all good. A couple of the guys are getting accustomed to the Arizona 1-15 8 Ball game and it is a bit of an adjustment.
When I got back it was happy hour, so we went to see what was new. As it turns out there were a couple of new people in the park who just got in. They had been here in previous years, so it was like old home week seeing them again. The second old trailer was pulled out of the park today, the first was last week. There is a third one that will probably pulled out in the next few days. When a trailer is sold, the transfer must be approved by the park manager if you want to keep it in the park. The one today had not done that and there were some problems, so they were advised the rental arrangement would not continue. The first trailer out was a decision by the owners to get rid of it and park their motorhome on the lot and I think the one yet to be towed out is for that same reason. See we learn things at happy!
After we decided to dine out, so went to the Village Inn. Supper was pretty good and they make a strawberry/rhubarb pie that is really good, so that was how I finished my meal of corned beef hash. Marg had a salad starter rather than desert, especially with the choices for pie they have. I'm very concerned with her ability to make informed choices when she makes decisions on important matters like this one. Her entrée was chicken fried chicken, it's a southern U.S. thing. How else would you fry chicken; as a duck? Anyway it is pretty darn good.
