Wednesday

Got an early start on the day.  Had a bowl of cereal and then out to load the golf equipment. We leave the park at 8AM or a few minutes before as it is a bit of a drive down Ironwood to the course.  Gerry showed up at his regular time and we were there with a bit of time to spare so did a bit of chipping and putting to loosen up.  We were paired with the lady who organizes the day and her spouse, we always have a fun time with them.
Marg got a stew going this AM.  There are a couple in the park who are really struggling and folks are helping them get by so Marg offered to provide their supper tonight.  It was stew, with some nice rye bread slices and dessert was cheesecake.  She got it all going in the slow cooker and then off to water aerobics where they had a good sized group for the session.  They also did some planning around the year end pool party for that group and then there was some stuff about a shower for one of the ladies [a friend of Marg's] who is getting married later this month.
Gerry and I got back just before noon and Deb  & her mother were waiting to pick him up and Marg was still wrapped in her towel, so they must have had a short visit.  By then it was lunch time and we had some scrambled eggs with good stuff like chees, onions, peppers, etc in with them.  After that I went to play some pool while Marg went out to get some duds to wear in the fashion show at the ladies tea.  She had been looking for a while and finally settled on what she wanted to use.  The ladies wear store actually donates the use of the clothes for it, but often times the ladies find what they like and end up buying some of it.  Oh that was the other good news, Marg got me out of the ladies tea as it is a Wednesday and I will be playing golf, so can't pour tee or is that tea?  LOL
When I got back she had just got back with some groceries and the clothes, so we went to happy hour.  We didn't stay long, but managed to get our one brew in, well I did anyway.  We had to get back to deliver the stew for supper.  The couple really enjoyed it and they were very complimentary on the stew.  In fact they saved one dish of it for tomorrow.  It was pretty funny as we had just sat down to our dinner when Linda came along and Marg invited her to join us.  She also loved the stew and took a dish of it home for Gary as he was out playing pickle ball.  That's just Marg and everyone loves her for it.  After we finished some folks stopped by, but I left in the midst of it as I was late for poker.  We had a couple of new old guys.  By that I mean guys who just got here, but have played with us last year.  It went OK, I'm pretty sure I was close to being even.  They hung around til about 7:30 and then Marg finally got a chance to come in and do dishes.
That was the day for us; oh yeh, it was hot, hot, hot; in record high territory again today.  That's the weather we come here for, so can't complain about it, although everyone is complaining about the pollen and sinus problems.
