February 5th

A little late with the post today.  Got home a bit late and pretty much fell into bed early.
  It was a gorgeous day and we went for coffee & donuts in the morning.  Not sure what happened, but it must have been close to a record turnout as the hall was full.  Unfortunately I think we were last or second last table, so the selection of donuts was not the best, but sat with friends, so it was all good.
  We headed out right after coffee on a road trip.  Went with Blanke's as well as Binger's up to Superior and then on a secondary highway up to the Coolidge Dam.  A nice drive through the desert & the mountains in the area, very scenic.  Lots of mining [copper I think] in the area, some of them are huge operations.

Stopped for a snack and an ice cold beer.

  Stopped at the casino in Globe on the way home where I was able to donate to the upkeep and well being of the native group who run it.  Marg had about the same kind of luck as I did, but we only played for a short time until the buffet opened.  That was where we had our supper and enjoyed the company of friends.
