Saturday

  A busy day.  We went around to a friends yard sale, but didn't manage to find anything we could use.  His sister is moving to Reno and pretty much getting rid of everything.

   After, we made our way out to Tortilla Flats as Daniel & Vanessa had not yet been out there.  It was a sunny day, but in the morning the wind had a bit of a chill.  Stopped for the obligatory photo overlooking Canyon lake.



Toured the restaurant where the walls are papered with dollar bills.  If you look close, there are currencies from other countries there as well.  I think Daniel was all set to start stripping the bills off the walls, LOL.  It is pretty amazing to see for the first time, all the walls and the ceilings in some areas are completely covered.

  Got back to the park and they got all the last minute things done and we loaded their luggage into the back so we could go out for supper.  By then it was getting warmer and we enjoyed the sun out on the back patio.  Marg took Vanessa over next door to show her the lemon tree.  Although Carol had just finished pruning it, still had lemons on it.  The we went to the Golden Corral for a supper buffet and I think they enjoyed it more than the Chinese buffet we took in.  The food is good for a buffet and the selection of deserts is pretty impressive.
  Got them off to the airport in plenty of time for their flight and said our farewells.  Hope their flight is good and the wait time in Edmonton goes OK for them.

  This is the eve of Robbie Burns day, so raise a glass in toast to The Bard - Slainte!
