January 11th

Sitting around with my coffee this morning and looked up to see Pat at the patio door.  Turns out he was looking for a fellow cyclist.  It seems he was alone as: one down with a cold, one with sinus and a third ran a sock through his derailleur gear, snapping it off.  So I was it for a riding companion.  Dressed very quickly and got on the road, where we did the short track and got in 4 1/2 miles.  With just the two of us the pace was pretty quick & with only one water stop, we were back in the park in short order.  When we got back to the park we stopped to look at Larry's derailleur.  Funny story, it seems Nancy dropped a sock from her laundry load on the gear and not noticing it, he attempted to pedal, snapping the bracket.  We took it off for him and if he gets one at the cycle shop, will replace it tomorrow.  One of life's lessons here that I wasn't aware of:  Never Leave a Sock on the Derailleur gear!
Funny thing, a coyote family appeared in our flower bed sometime since last night.  Marg had a pretty good suspect on the mystery donor, which proved correct.  Linda said she could not tell a lie, might be a descendant of Abe Lincoln?
Had some breakfast when I got back as I went riding on a banana and a yogurt.  Then a quick shower & shave before heading out.  We went out to Camping World to discover they moved the entire operation and while it is now closer, going to the old location was certainly a round-about way to get there.  Not really happy with the selection so will take a look at another place tomorrow.
By then it was lunch, so we stopped at Long John Silver for fish.  Their cod is generally good and being in the area, it was an easy choice.  After we went to Burlington Coat, well one of us did.  The other went to the book store and got a couple of dusters or oaters to read in the truck.  As it turns out this stop did not produce the desired result, so left empty handed.  The good news was the weather, it warmed up to about 20C today.  This is really unusual for us.   After we stopped at a Mexican grocery store and got a couple of Bundt cakes for a farewell party this afternoon.  The store is great, if you like ethnic food, it is a must stop.  Right across the road from Organ Stop Pizza.  A young couple who have been in the park for 3 years & he has been re-posted to a base in California.  There was a nice turnout in the hall to say farewell to them.
Took a walk around the park, stopping to chat with Sue & Larry and tour the park model they just bought.  It looks a lot like ours inside, except they have termites in it.  They have a pest applicator coming this week, sure don't envy them the process, from everything I hear.  They came back to our place to see it and make the comparison.  This is the snowbird version of your show me yours, LOL.
A quick bite to eat at the trailer and we were off to Ice Cream social tonight.  Took a few pics to add to the Tenants Association fb page.  This one is one of Marg's pals, Lynette, who is also one of the gamblin' gals.
Lots of people at Ice Cream tonight, which was nice to see.

After the comments on yesterday's post, I thought a pic of the new night stand was in order, so here it is.  It really is new and has been beat up to look like it fell off the truck.  Hard to believe people buy these things, however now we all know one who does.
