March 1st

For us this is a very telling date, it means our time in the valley of the sun is closer to over.  There is only limited numbers of the things we can fit in and there is lots to experience yet.  For example there are only 4 more weekly golf games, 2 more ice cream socials, 1 more breakfast to cook, etc.  Oh and I got roped into making hot water for the ladies tea again.  Note to self, must learn to say NO more.
What a gorgeous day, have I said that before?  ;>))  We got out and about a little later as we had some stuff to do around the old rv.  When we went out we stopped at a couple of garage/yard sales and then at the big flea market on Apache Trail.  That was on our way to lunch, which was at Long John Silver.  It's a fast food place, along the lines of Arby's, but with seafood.  The food is actually pretty good, in fact we had the cod and it was great and best of all we had a coupon for it.  LOL  Marg really loves fish and it has been quite a while since we had any, so she was pretty happy when she tasted it.
Stopped at Costco on the way back to fill up the car.  Gas prices down here have increased about 80 cents a gallon since we got here.  They are just getting them up there in time for me to fill up the rv, seems to happen every year.  Went in and looked around, always lots of interesting things in there.   Got some crown [1.75 litre], coffee and candy, something for everyone.
On the way back we saw another rv fire.  This one in a class A and it seemed to be around the kitchen area, so likely propane.  This is the second one we have seen this winter.  Just another testimonial to the importance of maintaining the propane system & why we took ours in for an inspection.
After we got back Marg went for a pedicure and some of the other things women get at spas or whatever it is.  I did hear the chair she sat in massaged while she was getting the pedicure and her eyebrows looked very neatly trimmed, so I guess she got the works.

After supper we went to the animal races.  I was not doing well picking winners, so there was lots of joking about that.  Finally Curt got the cross and said you really need this.  That really got people going, but didn't help me.  In the end I think Marg did OK with her picks, better than me anyway.
