Tucson - Pima Air Space Museum

Nice day, but windy. So much wind there were dust storms in the area. We drove down to Tucson this morning and got there in time for lunch. Stopped in at Cracker Barrel for lunch, food is always good there. How do you know you have been here too long - well - for lunch Marg had biscuits & gravy and an order of grits. Not my cup of tea, but then I had french toast. Went to the museum, a great collection of aircraft. Some great iron there, right from the Wright Bros kittyhawk to the modern aircraft and well displayed with very informative tours. Even had a nice Sabre Jet from the RCAF from the Korean war, an old Airforce One, B-52's you name it. Marg's fav was the beechcraft that was used in the first flight over the Atlantic, by a female, not to be confused with Lindburg.

  1. Must have been Amelia Earhart's plane that was first to be flown over the Altlantic by a female... we watched the movie made about it with Katy.... a real tear jerker.... looks like a great day out. x
