One of the coolest planes in the museum, with a honking big jet engine. This is the same plane that Powers was shot down in by the Russians. It goes over 2,200 mph [3 times the speed of sound] at 85,000 feet. The plane weighs 60,000 lbs and carries 80,000 lbs of fuel, totally made of titanium, it gets so hot in flight that the plane gets from 9 to 12 inches longer due to heat expansion.
