Wednesday, Feb 5th

I don't even want to talk about the weather today.  It was cool, stayed chilly and that's all.
We were up and about fairly early.  It was golf day with the group from the park and Gerry always drives out here for it.  We went to Apache Sun and got there a bit early, for our tee time and a handful showed up.  Our organizer checked in and they had a frost delay of about and hour and a half, after which they would evaluate what they would do, so our organizer cancelled the group.  We chatted with some of the guys for a few minutes and then went back to our place.  I had checked the temp at home and it was 38 F, but when we got to the course it was only 28 F, it seems that it was warmer closer to the mountains for a change.
When we got back to the park, Marg was getting ready to go with the gamblin' gals.  There were 7 of them and they went to the Fort.  Apparently they have had it with Casino Arizona.  Gerry and I played some 8 ball for a while.  The traffic going from here into Phoenix is very heavy, so he didn't want to leave until after the rush hour.  We played for a couple hours and then he left for home.
I made myself a sandwich and then went to work on the stuff in the shed.  I dug out some other stuff and priced it for the park patio sale.  I had a couple stop in to look at the stuff and they bought a few things.  They have offered to take some stuff home for us and are friends, so I went easy with him on the prices.
At 2 I had to go work in the kitchen.  It was potato bar today and Marg had volunteered us to work.  I washed baking potato's for most of the time, made coffee in the big urn and then helped clean up.  We washed, dried and got ready about 120 potatoes.  The gals also made chili and got the condiments organized.
After I went home for a short while then drove the cart down to pick Marg up on her return.  It seems the luck at the Fort was no better than the other place, so no armored truck followed them home.  Then it was over to the clubhouse to get ready for the horde of potato eaters.  The service went well and everyone was fed and we were out of there in about an hour and a half.
Played poker tonight.  We had lots of guys out, two tables. It went OK and I think I came close to break even tonight.  Considering my last couple weeks, that was an improvement.
Forgot to put a note on yesterdays blog about Anna celebrating her birthday, so Happy Birthday, dear.
