Wednesday, January 8th

A chilly night and it was still cool when I went out to take the truck in.  My service appointment was for 8 this morning at Courtesy CDJR of Superstition Springs.  I had the same service tech as before and he was very helpful.  When I said I needed a ride home, he called for a Lyft car.  The ride was confirmed on a text on my phone, then when the guy was out front I had another text.  After the ride I got a text asking me for feedback.  At the dealership I  had a coffee but could have had donuts or rolls as well.  The driver was very personable and it was a good outcome.
  I stopped in and chatted with Kenny for a bit.  He wants to put a top on his desk in the breezeway.  He mentioned formica or arborite, which would be good as long as it doesn't weather.  Could be OK in there, as long as it doesn't get wet.  Marg had visitors this morning as there was no vehicle on the driveway. 
  After lunch I went to play pool.  There were two tables going today and the one I played on had competitive games and a few laughs.  A bit of a different group today.  We had one older guy from Nevada who is very hard of hearing, but he can shoot pool pretty well.  About mid afternoon I got a call from the dealership saying my truck would not be done done today and that if I needed a vehicle they would arrange for one at Enterprise rental.  I cut my afternoon short and got a friend to drive me to the rental co.  True to their word a car was reserved for me.  There was a cost for it $7 per day.  It's an almost new Jeep [it had to be a Chrysler product as warranty was paying the bulk of it].  When I got home, I mentioned we had to pay for the insurance coverage.  Marg recalled in a meeting with our contact at the insurance agency we were told this was part of our policy.  So a quick trip back to the rental co where they took the insurance coverage off.
  Back to the park with a quick stop at Safeway en-route.  Marg needed a few things for later in the day as she had invited some gals for Margaritas.  Then back to the park where it was Gary's hamburgers for supper.  They were good as usual and it was nice to be on the other side of the counter for  a change.
  After hamburgers, Marg had 7 ladies over for Margaritas [Mango].  She is famous for these and no one passes them up.  I went to play poker nad started badly, but it came together in the last half of he game and came away a little better off than I started.
  Oh yes, the lemon brownies were excellent.
