Yuma Jan 6th

Well an interesting day for us in Yuma. It was in the mid 60's today & expect it to be in the 70's for the next week or so. The Malibu is really cool, it switches from metric to english with a menu option and the speedometer now reads in mph. We went to the farmers market in the old downtown. It was on Main street by the old prison. Pretty neat, we bought pink oranges, were they ever good. We bought some small pitted oranges, were they ever terrible. LOL There are orange & lemon trees everywhere, even on the traffic islands. Never realized there were this many kinds of peppers & vegetables, Marg bought a fresh artichoke, while some we are not trying, like tomalitto. Lots of market gardening here, Jan 23rd is the big Lettuce Days Festival. Apparently there is a really good recipe for cooking rattlesnake that we aren't trying either. Marg got some postcards & sent them to the grandkids. She is at bingo tonight in the main building, our neighbour, Spag, was calling. She brought home $70 big ones, yeh! While sitting here I could feel the m'home shake, it did it several times. Each time I went out, first thinking a strong wind came up, then someone bumped it, then I thought the jacks were moving the m'home. It had me going. Watching the news, it turna out it was the Yuma Proving Ground, they were exploding some very large bombs and it was causing a vibration. Yikes, we are about 25 miles from there. I want a combat medal for this, LOL.
