November 17th and we will be off.
We planned to start our journey to the south on Monday, but with the weather forecasts in Montana we are leaving a day early. Tuesday looks to have a potential for freezing rain and Wednesday for snow. We will see how early tomorrow as it is raining tonight and as long as the roads don't ice up the plan will be to get through most of Alberta by evening.
It is supposed to be a decent day tomorrow and we are in the starting blocks.
Had a nice evening with the family tonight with a fondue and reclet and a dozen hungry folks. We had pork, beef, chicken, shrimp, crab, a cheese fondue and a lot of veggies followed up with a couple of cakes. One to celebrate Sam's birthday. I even made hotel reservations for two nights on the road, so fingers crossed. The rates are sure better booking in advance instead of just driving up.
Stay tuned, we'll see how it goes.
