The end of the journey

It was a nice day, we got all packed up at the rv park & I use that term loosely so we could drive in to Edmonton and visit with mother.  Drove the m'home to the Mohawk truck stop in Acheson rather than drive it through the city and try to find  parking there.  We got to Millers Crossing early enough that mom was still having breakfast.  Visited with her until she finished and then went to her room when brother Jim stopped in.  Mother was in good spirits, but challenged to keep up the conversation, but did a good job participating when she wanted to.  Finished up just before noon and left for home.
Lunch was back at the Mohawk, pretty good food and lots of it being a truck stop.  Filled up with fuel one last time and then it was on the road one last time.  Most expensive fuel I have bought in a long time, makes me wonder where it comes from -- oh yeh, right here.  Wind blew all day and the sun shone.  Roads were dry and bare, although there was lots of snow in places, especially around Fox Creek.
Got home around 5PM and had no sooner pulled on the driveway than Haylee stopped by.  She helped us unload and joined us for some take out DQ.  By then others started to arrive.  Vanessa & Daniel stopped in and then Bill & Patti with Paige & Kassidy and finally Kennedy with some friends stopped by.  Got most everything out of the rv and winterized it as the temp is forecast to go down do minus 10 tonight and that would be a problem with the water in it.
That is all there is to this winter blog.  Thank you for allowing us to share our winter activities with you.  This will be the final post until next winter when we will once again share our journey and life in the sunny south living the snowbird lifestyle.
