Day 4 - Avi

We had a chilly night and got all settled up with the park in the morning for both the camping and storage charges.  Everything worked out well, except I wanted to personally thank the park owner for all his assistance this past while, but he wasn't in.
Got through the scenic Virgin River gorge and down to Las Vegas in pretty good time.  In fact we made Vegas at about 11:50AM, so the traffic on the freeway through there was about as light as we have seen.  This was very good as our poor visibility from the drivers side mirror has proven a bit of a challenge.
Took the turn-off just prior to Bolder City and went down south to Laughlin on the Colorado river.  We are spending the night at the KOA in Avi, a location we have used and enjoyed in prior trips.  We spent a bit of time in the casino that was ... well less than productive, but we held to our limit.  Went to the buffet in the hotel.  It was great, lots of good choices tonight, it's been a long time since we had to put on the buffet pants, LOL!
One night here and we will be off to Apache Junction tomorrow.  Oh yeh, the weather aside from the wind was pretty darn good; about 10 degrees warmer than yesterday, in the low 60's I believe.  Still no pics as wifi the pits

  1. Glad that you are getting close to home from home. The broken glass must have been a pane in the ass. (See what I did there?)
