Rained last night, but we woke up to a bright sunny morning. It was nice to be back in our familiar bed again. A pretty nice day, shirt sleeve weather. Went for a bit of a tour around Bullhead City & Laughlin. For those of you not familiar with the place, the two are on opposite sides of the Colorado river, which is the state line between Arizona & Nevada. The casinos are really all there is in Laughlin, all the people live in Bullhead City, where most of the services are located.
Went to Ihop for lunch, now I know I'm really in the south, my first Ihop. Stopped on the way back to wash the car. A quick stop at Terribles for fuel and a car wash. They give you 20 cents a gallon off, which made fuel $2.94/gallon, I think that would be approx. 75 cents a litre. I think we must have had the dirtiest car in the place. A funny thing on the radio when the announcer was talking about only using his windshield wipers a couple times a year and hoping they had fluid. He should have driven with us, where you need to pack an extra gallon of windshield washer fluid. A stop at Safeway to stock the pantry and fridge, then back back to the rv park.
Went to the casino for a few hours. They really had my number, let me get ahead, then pulled the rug out. Marg got them though, she made more than I donated. Just about enough for supper. Supper was - yes you guessed it; back to the buffet. The feature at the buffet was prime rib, so we had a very nice dinner. It was funny because tonight was what they call 2fer, meaning if you get there before 6pm, it was 2 for the price of 1. We got there at 6:15, but had forgot to change our watches from the time zone at home & in Utah. As we are on the Nevada side of the Colorado, that made it 5:15, so life was good.
